Wildwood School's last day for the 2019-2020 school year will be June 24, 2020. We will not be closing earlier, unless directed by the New York State Education Department or the governor. Please note that even if your school district closes earlier, we will be providing remote services through June 24, 2020.
Pursuant to Governor Cuomo’s recent directive that summer school programming must occur through distance learning this year, please be advised that Wildwood School’s Summer Extension Program will only be provided through remote and distance learning this summer. There will be no “in person” summer school programming at any of our School locations, including Curry Road, Latham, and Altamont.
We miss our students very much, and remain hopeful that we will be able to be together in the fall. In the meantime, we will continue to use Google Meets, the Virtual Resource Page, Classroom YouTube channels, individual IEP folders for families, teletherapy, regular contact with families, and continuously updated educational materials to support students and families to the very best of our abilities. We know that the COVID 19 crisis has taken a huge toll on students and families, and our school team remains deeply committed to helping in every way that we can to make sure that every student has a safe, stable and healthy summer. To that end, we will be planning and executing meaningful distance learning activities, developing challenging and engaging curriculum, and providing necessary therapies and other supports remotely, throughout July and August.
