Do you like to help others? Are you thinking about switching to a career where you can make a difference? If so, Wildwood wants you! We are looking to hire Direct Support Professionals, Teaching Assistants, and various other positions. Interested? Join us for our Hiring Event featuring “open” interviews on Thursday, November 5, from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m.
The hiring event is similar to a job fair, but on a more personal level. It’s just Wildwood, and instead of open, drop-in interviews, we’re offering scheduled time slots for people to stop in for an interview. We want to do what we can to meet more people while keeping everyone safe.
Why work at Wildwood? We offer competitive salaries and benefits, including health insurance, dental and vision plans, life insurance, flex spending, a comprehensive wellness program, paid time off, paid training, education tuition assistance, scholarships, employee discounts, and a 403(b) retirement plan.
We are passionate about helping individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities lead independent, productive, and fulfilling lives. By joining our team, you will be provided a variety of opportunities where it is possible to make a difference and a significant, direct impact on the lives of others. It’s our goal to improve the lives of all members of the Wildwood family.

Wildwood Celebrates National Disability Employment Awareness Month
- Details
- Written by Rebecca Shurtleff
October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), and 2020 marks two big anniversaries: 30 years for the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and 75 years of NDEAM itself. Throughout this month, Wildwood has been sharing stories and information about the importance of diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
Wildwood's Employment Team helps potential workers connect with area businesses to find the "right talent right now." A video was created to help with outreach, and share why it's important for a business to shift their perspective on what it means to hire someone with a disability. The hope was that the employment video would be the catalyst to that shift, and result in long-term workforce benefits within the community. The video reached over 6,000 views, was shared twice nationally as well as through statewide and local business groups, and reached hundreds of nonprofit leaders, Chambers of Commerce, Human Resource Associations, TV programs, and - more locally - the Times Union.
